must. glitter. everything. (oh JOY)

It's been a while since I've done some legitimate crafting. With the house buying and the painting and the moving and the unpacking and the life-ing (totally a verb... trust me), I've been a bit busy.

Now I've done some small projects, but we all know what makes for an actual legitimate craft. Glitter. Lots and lots of glitter.

You have no idea how excited I was to finally who the stuff out. I'm getting a jump start on coordinating decorations for Christmas and had a special glittery project in mind.

With inspiration from pinterest (of course) I headed to my BRAND SPANKIN' NEW Hobby Lobby to pick up some cardboard letters.

I coated each of the sides with two coats of acrylic paint and let the letters dry.

I then mixed up a wonderful combination of 1 part Mod Podge to approximately 2 parts glitter.

Then spread that gorgeous stuff on.

It was so much fun I had to find something else to glitter too. I had bought two of these glasses from the Dollar Tree last year with the intention of decorating them for Halloween. I shattered one and did nothing with the other. So obviously... GLITTER!

I then went back and added a second coat of the glitter goop to the letters.

Now that they're dry, they're on display in my coffee corner. I love the look so much I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep them up well past Christmas.

The second coat of glitter on the glass is still drying. So stay tuned for a finished picture.
